The present Rolex Oyster Perpetual, Submariner, was made around 1970 and is very well preserved for its age. The Reference 5513 was in production from 1962 till 1989.

The dial is later original from the manufactory, reason why we find here the applied white gold rimmed luminous indexes instead of the painted luminous ones. So called “Bicciorini”, these dials were produced in the 1980s, for the last version of the model. However, the luminous material has nicely aged with time, giving this watch a superb and attractive look form the 1980s. The dial is intact. The case is in extremely good overall condition for its age, with sharp edges and even bevels, no signs of rust, the case back thread is intact as well. The later original bracelet is very well preserved, with only minor surface wear in places. The watch is powered by a caliber Rolex 1520, introduced in 1963, beating at 19’800 alt/hour to be more accurate.
The watch is set with a Triplock winding crown with crown guard, a second generation o-ring tub, a bi-directional revolving black bezel with decompression time. The case back is engraved 5512 inside. Dial, case, movement and bracelet are signed.

Condition: 9/10, later original dial, hands and bracelet.
